Web 2.0

I think the title of the video means a new version of the web. Previously the internet was simply a way to share documents between computers but now you can share anything from text and music to videos and pictures. If affects a person about to enter a workforce in that it gives more resources to them in finding a job (monster.com, etc.) but it also can create problems. Anything put out onto the internet can be tracked and this creates problems when it comes to applying for jobs. If inappropriate pictures or videos are linked to a person this can hinder their ability to get a job. This goes for people already in the workforce also; if they post inappropriate pictures and they get back their boss this can affect their job. At the end of the video when it says that we will have to rethink everything, it is true. We have to rethink what we put on the internet, how much information is out there, and how to communicate. If something were to happen to the internet people would not know what to do. I think it is very similar to cell phones. Tens years ago hardly anyone had them and now people cannot go a few hours without one.

Hi! I am a junior here at Clemson and absolutely LOVE IT! I'm from Cary, NC; I have a little sister who is a senior in high school and we both hope she winds up here. Before I came to school I had never been to a Clemson football game and now I never miss them. I'm in Alpha Chi Omega sorority and love getting involved. I'm philanthropy chair for my sorority and a chair on the Clemson Relay for Life Committee. I've always been really involved with Relay for Life but just recently got involved with Alpha Chi Omega's philanthropy. I enjoy volunteering and working with various service projects and I'm looking forward to working with a client from one of the organizations. I love my roommates and we always have a great time hanging out together.
